Domain activity status

Reserved – the registration instruction has been executed, but you most likely do not have enough funds to purchase it. Fund your point balance. The domain has been reserved for 7 days, which prevents other subscribers from buying it.

Active – the domain has been correctly registered and paid. It does not require any intervention until it is renewed.

Quarantine – the domain has expired and all services based on it have stopped working – it is in the quarantine period which means that for the next few days from the date of its expiration you are the only one who can reactivate it (some of domain extension doens’t support quarantine time). After this period the domain will be removed from Webmity and made available for public registration.

Expired – The domain has expired and is waiting to be removed from the system. You cannot perform any operations on it. Services based on it have stopped working.

External – The domain is not maintained in Webmity, and only its DNS records should point to our infrastructure. If you have problems with external domains, please contact your consultant.

How domains are used

Website – a domain registered with Webmity and used as a satellite website. Under this domain, you should have a website actively supporting your internet marketing campaign.

External – The domain has been registered with Webmity, but is maintained on external servers. It most likely points to your external hosting server. Keep in mind that even though you use the domain for something other than Webmity, it will be renewed using Webmity so keep an eye on the point balance in your account.

Parking – a domain registered with Webmity – has most likely not yet been developed. This status may also mean that traffic is being redirected to an alternate domain (Redirect R=301) or that some records are being delegated to external servers e.g. redirecting mail records to handle mail on the domain.
